Westfalia Early Bay 1971

This is Ruby, a beautiful 1971 Early Bay, Westfalia Camper Van.

She was imported from California in 2004 and since then has never been driven in the wet, so there is absolutely no rust at all and nothing has been replaced or welded underneath.

She has covered a total of 79,000 KM, I have owned her for 8 years and she has been fully serviced at least every 2,000 miles. She runs perfectly and starts first time every time. She comes with a full 12 month MOT with no advisories.  This is a very, very solid and reliable bus!

I have spared no expense and there are way too many new items to mention but here are just a few:

• Fully reconditioned disc breaks with totally new hoses in the past week.
• New Flamethrower ignition coil and new Petronix leads and fully overhauled ignition system with brand new battery 2 weeks ago.
• Stainless steel exhaust and brand new silencer
• Real Empi alloys with very good Yokohama tires
• Fully reupholstered in 2013 (all cabinets are Westfalia originals and mint!)
• Towbar fitted in 2015
• Piles of receipts going back to 2004 and loads of history

Ruby sleeps 4 with a full sized Rock & Roll Bed, Full sized bunk in the pop-top roof and an over-cab hammock.
This is not a showbus (but not far off) and ready right now to set off camping and turn many heads.

Her bodywork is excellent with very few tiny blemishes.

This truly is an excellent and reliable bus that is looking for a new home. I have a very good reason to have to let Ruby go or else I would never be selling her as there are not many out there this good.

I am happy to send more photos as requested and answer any more questions – there simply is nothing to hide with this one! If you are serious then please come give her a drive.

The VW Camper Crazy web site is a listing site only. We cannot guarantee that anything listed on the site is as described. We suggest you make all sensible checks to reassure yourself that what you are buying is worth the price asked and that all the paperwork is in order. Whilst we make every effort to identify scam adverts before they are listed on the site, sometimes they get through. We suggest, as with most things relating to money that you use your common sense. If it looks too good to be true then it probably is! Under no circumstances should you part with any money without first physically seeing the vehicle and if any seller is asking for money to be sent first as a holding deposit, or for money to be lodged with a third party then it’s probably a scam. If you have any dealings with sellers where any of the above is true, or you suspect that an ad is suspicious please let us know at [email protected] (please include a link to the ad in question) and we will follow up the investigation.
