I’d like to introduce you to Rosie, a beautiful and characterful 1971 Early Bay, 1600cc Westfalia Camper Van. She is Right Hand Drive and tax exempt. She is of the early version of bay window e.g. round bumpers and low level front indicators. She comes fitted with all original Westfalia interior units which are in very good, useable condition.
She has been in our family now for 13 years but sadly and has provided many, many happy memories. Sadly it’s time for her to have a new home, one where she will be used regularly and cherished.
She has recently undergone major refurbishment including a full respray which included replacement of numerous panels to ensure that she is completely rust free and will last for many years to come. This is a very, very solid and reliable bus!
We have piles of receipts and Mot certificates and tax discs going as far back as 1983. She runs perfectly and starts first time every time. Her MOT expires in 6 months. We can provide a new MOT if required. She has covered a total of 105733 miles on the clock and only 12,703 over the last 13 years.
She has been lovingly cared for during our ownership and has wanted for nothing.
She comes complete with a comfortable full with rock and roll bed. She has a bunk area in the elevating roof which will sleep two little people. She seats 4 people comfortably and is fitted with seat belts. She is fitted with mains 240v electric hook up, a fuse box and battery charge level gauge and 2 mains sockets. She also has a leisure battery which runs two 12v sockets and internal lighting. She is fitted with a two hob burner, gas bottle, integrated cool box, sink, wardrobe, lockable safe, and has a generous amount of storage areas. She also has a radio / CD with Aux connections for phones, MP3 etc.
Whilst she is not a show bus, she is however absolutely stunning in her red and cream colours and regularly turns heads. As with vans of this age, there are always things that could be improved upon, replaced, changed to suit tastes etc., that’s half the fun of owning one. Having said that, she is good to go and will bring much pleasure and joy to her new owners.
I am happy to send more photos if requested and answer any more questions
