Desperatly Seeking Vehicle to Love
In search of a van, LHD Bay or T25 to pour lots of love an attention on but not waste money. I would love a van that is in really good nick and doesn't need too much attention, if any at all. 4 Berth for self, young son and his friends so we can make the most of Europe and life. I need to trust the seller and not get done over so PLEASE only genuine honest sellers. Any extras would be a bonus. I live in Germany and will happily buy here but also willing to travel over to UK (would prefer if you lived near airport for ease of viewing).

VW Camper pref Viking or Westfalia Bay 1967-1973 (
Any conversion considered but must have pop top and be capable of sleeping at least 4. Would prefer Viking or Westfalia. Prefer RHD, bigger engine, cooker, fridge, leisure battery and hook up but none of these are essential. Would also like awning, mosquito net & spare wheel on front of vehicle rather than inside, but none of these are essential. Ideally waxoiled/undersealed. Also prefer dry import, but more importantly no rustbuckets or "projects". Not interested in any vehicle requiring any welding, chassis repairs, or significant bodywork repairs, or ghastly paint jobs. May accept small amount of surface paint bubbling. Don't mind if small parts missing or needing replacement. Pop top canvas needs to have no leaks. Window seals should all be in order. Mileage not too important, but good running engine and gearbox with no major repairs/rebuilding required. Budget to £7,000.

T25 watercooled 1984 1900cc engine
Does anyone have a reconditioned engine for sale? Or, anyone know of a mechanic in the South West that can possibly fix a bolt head that has popped out/sheared off in the head gasket? I am aware it can be fixed but will take a lot of man hours, so if someone knows if they could do this for a low cost please let me know, Thanks, Ian
